The First Impression of You: Your Online Username
As online citizens, we sometimes fail to understand that others judge us by the username we choose. This is similar to judging a new student based on his or her appearance. It is important to remember that when you choose a username it doesn't reflect negatively on who you are as a person. The purpose of a username is not to attract attention or give away personal information about yourself. Some people online will target younger users by using knowledge they've gained from the user's screen name to start conversations. Don't allow yourself to become the prey of these types of users. A username that reveals the least amount of information will be your best choice.
